Rounding Up Safari’s Week

Posted by Sravan | March 2, 2009 .

The Adobe Flex Team is conducting a Flex user survey and Inside RIA is conducting a poll about how frequently developers contribute to open source efforts.

Adobe AIR 1.5.1 was released. It includes a number of minor bug fixes and a new API.

Now it is the turn of Silverlight to talk about adoption numbers. Mike Ormond shares a few of those numbers, and Scott started a series of posts describing how a typical customer goes about adopting Silverlight.

Flex RIA refers you to attend Flex Camp Miami on March 6th. Flex camps are fun, good for learning and networking. And this one comes with a referral program (that is us :-) and offers a group rate discount at the Holiday Inn Coral Gables.

Jensa shared a Flash MP3 player that can play from JavaScript, and a syntax file for AS that can be used with SyntaxHighlighter 2.0.

Serge Jespers compiled a list of Adobeans on Twitter. It also appears to be constantly updated. Thanks, Serge!

Yeah, I tried Safari 4 for a couple of days before uninstalling it. I was somehow not impressed with the apparent wrapper around Google Chrome. Sure enough, some sites including Google ones were fast but Youtube videos loaded very slowly for me. I somehow don’t seem to like Apple products much. iTunes, QuickTime, now Safari. I still keep my hopes on Mac high though.
