I hope you haven’t missed the latest Flex 3.3 SDK release. As a new version of Flex Builder isn’t being released alongside, the updated data visualization components for Flex Builder are available separately. You can get them all from the Flex Downloads page. These are entirely bug fix releases. Now that contributing to open source may be more common than had been earlier imagined, take a look at the Flex SDK coding conventions for future contributions.
Fatara Systems made their Clear Toolkit framework open source last Friday. The toolkit is used for developing enterprise Rich Internet Applications with Adobe Flex and Java. The code and documentation are available as a SourceForge project.
HappyToad’s RIATrax has also been made open source a couple of weeks ago. The Adobe Flex component set integrates automatic event tracking through Google Analytics by directly replacing the base Flex components. The code is available through MIT license and is being hosted on the Google repository.
