Lee Brimelow reminds us about Census. I came across this James Ward’s benchmarking tool only a few months ago. It has been around for a couple of years now, and the updates, if at all, are being published so silently that I have no clue about its evolution and its latest status. I wish James wrote an update about it.
Jens got me all expectant about the Amanita Design’s new game Machinarium even though I didn’t know about Samorost.
Peter Elst did some detective work after coming across a surprising issue with Google Analytics. And when he says “surprising”, you know he is understating, right? It is convenient, but it is also frightening how much faith we put into Google. Talk about a single point of failure.
Ethan is on a PTO. Good for me as he has been blogging more frequently. Like about the debate about titles which reminds me of any number of jokes on business titles, and the evolution of simplicity which I don’t entirely subscribe to because we have also been seeing things doing more than what they are meant to do. e.g. Can you think of one “vanilla cell-phone”, through which one can only make and receive calls?
