Rounding Up Flex Builder’s Busy Week

Posted by Sravan | May 18, 2009 .

Flex Builder was very much in news last week and will continue to be this week. One, the free licenses of Flex Builder for out-of-work developers has been put on hold. Two, Flex Builder is being renamed rebranded as Flash Builder starting with the next release. Peter Elst, Ryan Stewart and Lee Brimelow cheer this new development and are all surprisingly reassuring that the change doesn’t affect Flex developers in any way. I won’t go as far as quoting Shakespeare but I am of the opinion that the tools we use are, well, just tools. Read Brimelow’s article, last question in particular and tell me whether you sense a perceptible probability of Flex SDK being rebranded too.

Scott Barnes is eager to help all souls confused about Windows Azure.

The Adobe Evangelist Team and User Groups are gearing up for a long tour around Flex 4 and ColdFusion 9 covering more than 100 cities! Ted Patrick has a tentative list.

I was infinitely busy last week to even check my personal mail and I had no idea about this small settings update by Twitter. This feels as if Apple has already bought Twitter.

Paper art. Same feat using graphics would have been less impressive.

Try out Times Reader before I review it.
