Fake Steve Jobs has a very interesting take on the Google Chrome OS. Ryan has a diametrically opposite view, especially about the impact of netbooks on the OS market. This article writer, however, thinks that operating systems don’t matter at all in an age of cross-platform runtime environments.

Jeff Atwood chronicled the evolution of Evony advertising and it is very amusing. Evony, FYI, is the Flash-based game whose advertisements have become, unfortunately, ubiquitous. I am sad that I haven’t come across the last stage so far. Out of curiosity, did anybody ever click on these ads? All I ever did was to check out its Wikipedia entry.

The Michael Jackson Memorial was live telecast in HD by, guess who, Microsoft Silverlight. I have been seeing increasingly many projects won by Silverlight in the online live webcasting arena. I think the Team Silverlight Blog is doing a very good job publicizing about every sizable project it bags.
