Rounding Up The Microsoft-Yahoo! Week

Adobe released a minor update of Adobe AIR, version 1.5.2, which includes some reliability, compatibility and security related bug fixes.

Having had enough with the bullying, Aral Balkan is taking some serious steps to fight Sys-Con. A minor victory already. Bravo! He seeks our help and I request you on his behalf. I am reluctant to share details, but I have already contacted the legal department of the company I work at, and they have assigned a Counsel to hear my plea. These things take longer than we like and their results are uncertain, but I remain hopeful for now.

Microsoft and Yahoo! have finally announced a Search deal. Only time can tell whether this partnership can make any difference in the search engine market, other than improving Ask.com’s position in the rankings.

Firefox is all set to reach 1 billion downloads!

Gliffy now has an online diagramming API. The API still is in beta but has a host of embed features to integrate diagrams drawn using Gliffy with various web applications. You can signup for the trial version here.

Sarah Perez questions the ways of the App Store and suggests Apple to shape up. I can’t remember Apple taking anybody’s suggestions, though.
