New virtual globe startup with Flash- everyscape

Posted by Moxie Zhang | May 30, 2007 .

EveryScape is a new geoweb startup. It could become a new member in my top 5 globe explorer post. This one hasn’t opened for business yet. But from the working demo on its front-page, you can find it’s a very interesting and exciting production. The virtual tour piece is written in Flash. I like it the best is the map and the virtual tour are synchronized.

If something like this can be used from a mobile device such as my Nokia N95, it could be a killer app for traveling people. If it gets integrated into all these GPS navigation devices out there, taking a trip will be even simpler.

I just visited the website and it’s really cool. The concept is almost the same with MapJack.com another startup that competes with Google in street-view images.
