The COWS Ajax is getting some attention within the Ajax world. It’s sort of playing the shining armor knight role to save Ajax from its born shortcoming and bring it to the next level.
One issue it tries to address is the browser same-origin policy, which plays a important security role in web browser sandbox.
COWS Ajax promises that with limited number of lines of code, you can make your web pages heavy duty Ajax players. It seems a nice tool for the mesh-up Ajax applications.
In a nutshell, fully COWS Ajax implementation requires both server side and/or client side involvement. At server side, a URL call will return Javascript code, instead of conventional HTML or XML data. The code will be executed by COWS Ajax client side code or the browser itself. This type of URL will be called favelets. Kinda clever way doing dynamic web application.
I’ll keep watching the development of COWS Ajax.
