Call for Flex Lite - mobile application development
All American wireless operators envy the success of NTT DoCoMo i-channel. Since NTT DoCoMo launched i-channelâ„¢ in 2005, they have exceeded more than 8 million subscribers. And, it’s powered by Adobe FlashCast on Flash Lite. Verizon is so far the only US wireless operator embraces Flash Lite, just recently.
I know we are J2ME shop in US when talking about mobile applications, specifically, mobile games. However, for delivering media and games online, is there any other technology can do better than Flash so far? Well, J2ME does better in term of development tools. We developers have Flex now for web, and Apollo soon for desktop. We nee Flex Lite for mobile platform.
Flex goes to web, Flex goes enterprise, Flex goes to desktop, how about Flex goes to mobile. After all, we all believe the next big thing is in mobile. Right?
