Flash Widget Sighting - SprintWidgets gets SDK

Everything cool is shrinking, including applications. That’s why widgets and widget technology are getting so hot these days. You know by now I’m big fun of yourminis.com who will release API to allow create custom widgets (minis). But the waiting is just keep going and going. Then here comes the SpringWidgets. It’s a pure widget player, meaning that they don’t have a platform to host and manage your widget like yourminis does. They don’t have a social environment to allow you, well, be social, in the web 2.0 way. However, they have SDK. By the way, it’s Flash.

I think the biggest success for these SpringWidgets guys is the endorsement from feedburner.com. Feedburner allows you put up a logo image so that whoever use the SpringWidgets to retrieve your feed would have your identify. I wouldn’t be surprised that feedburner has some sort of tight relationship with them. After all, widget is becoming a important endpoint for any type of data pipes and data providers.
