We know Google has been using Flash to display Google Finance stock for awhile (guess JavaScript won’t cut it when gets data visualization). Yahoo started toying Flash stock chart too. It’s more sophisticate than Google’s though. It has all the common technical indicators to be displayed on the chart. You can put on competitors on chart too. Big part of its interactive (bring new data) is through regular web menu outside of the Flash chart. I bet average out people will spend more time on Yahoo’s chart than Google’s. Just not sure that’s good thing or not.

Flash sucks. It hogs up CPU and steals the browser key focus (try typing a browser shortcut key on a Flash page). My main reason for not using Yahoo finance charts is the simple and fast static images. Now they switch to Flash. Worse is that the Flash app is super wide, too wide for my browser. So now I have the annoying scroll bars. If Yahoo is going to use Flash, then I might as well use Google finance.
