In other words, when you land at the site the home page must answer the core questions immediately – what am I doing here? What can I do here? Does this match what I was looking for? Does this site add any value for me? Many sites do add tremendous value, but they don't tell the viewer HOW they add value and don't guide the viewer into knowing HOW they can get the value they need out the site. So, the site looks beautiful etc. but no one knows how to use it or what it's even about. Decent content would sort that out easily.
