

One strength of wikipedia is all its texts are cross referenced.Start from one topic, you can just goe on and on to learn all things around. One simple site, wikimindmap.org, takes that to next (or up) level. It uses Flash to visualize the information map, a mindmap style. You drill down by clicking into sub map, or expand the map to see it grows to become a knowledge tree. Without actually reading the text, just tracing the article relationship is kinda fun and revealing too.

Obviously the idea is a lot better than wikipedia and its great I work in the golf branch .The information available in germany by wikipedia on golf is basically simple and some times not of the necessary quality
