

You might have noticed that I’m on the roll with Flex or Flash advertisement platform. Both of the Idea 7 and idea 8 had something to do with it. The reason is very simple. The current web 2.0 more or less is driven or sustained by web advertisements. Do I need mention how Goolge make its living? From Flex888 you’ve been seeing more and more Flash or Flex based web sites. One problem is, which is very critical, how to distribute content/context sensitive advertisement within Flash/Flex site.
No body is doing that now.
Then here comes the idea, which is trigger by visiting this Outdoor Advertising Flash site. This company, Wideopen, provides “platform specialises in the delivery of ground breaking High Impact Outdoor Advertising to the South African Market.” We need something like that for Flash, even using the similar tag line.
You can come up with a hybrid way to allow Google Adsense work with your Flash site but that’s just not reliable. What we need is intelligent Flex or Flash component which can sense the contents the hosting Flash site or application (offline, online, or desktop). The component can communicate with advertisement networks to pull or stream down the content sensitive advertisement. This way, a Flash site, especially a Flash site focuses on distributing contents, text, images, etc, can embed the component into its layout. Then this component will just start magnetizing its efforts.
This solved a problem of current advertisement. That is the contents have to be indexed first so that the context sensitive ads can be provided. For highly interactive and dynamic site, the ads may not be relevant even they are provide.
Of cause this could be more complex that just mentioned but I do think the direction is plausible. Because it’ll make Flash “Wideopen” for the stream of money.
