May be it’s me. I always want to find what the purpose of a site. This HybridWorks site is astonishingly creative and beautiful. There are lots to learn from this design studio site. However I had a hard time at beginning to figure out what they do. As whole Flash site, it’s fairly complex in term of laying out and delivering contents. If you tell you it’s demo or design portfolio site you won’t have problem understand why those unrelated stuffs are listed together. But with just the name and all the great Flashes, it’s confusing.
Regardless, the works here are top notch. You can download some of their works as desktop background (I did), or the icons or watch 3D Pixsor style Flash movie.

I totally agree with you – one of the things people tend to overlook when developing their site is proper CONTENT and decent GUIDANCE through the site. In other words, when you land at the site the home page must answer the core questions immediately – what am I doing here? What can I do here? Does this match what I was looking for? Does this site add any value for me?
Many sites do add tremendous value, but they don’t tell the viewer HOW they add value and don’t guide the viewer into knowing HOW they can get the value they need out the site. So, the site looks beautiful etc. but no one knows how to use it or what it’s even about. Decent content would sort that out easily.
