I’ve received some emails asking about the Flex API (ESRI ArcWeb Explorer Flex API) I’ve used, since my posts about a Flex mashup. Charles and me won’t be able to answer all the questions. However, there are two places to get more information:
I think geoweb is passing the mere excitement of putting markers on the maps. GeoProcess or serious spacial analysis capabilities will be coming to the center stage. That’s where the ESRI technologies and products come in. If you are into GeoWeb things, be prepared.

There are some really nice Flex mapping apis out there; ESRI and Yahoo are good examples. But from a purely open source perspective nothing beats Modest maps.
I’ve built a range of Flex web mapping applications using their api at:

No need for api keys, no potential commercial interference. I have found it easy to blend video, imagery, rss feeds with slippy maps.

“Charles and me…” Please refer to your third grade grammer lessons? Look at this from web:
Perhaps my biggest pet peeve of the grammar variety is the constant misuse of “me” and “I”. My friend tells a funny story about her brother and this grammar issue. She said her brother will approach their mother and ask, “Can Charles and me go the mall?” Since she’s an intelligent person, the mother responds, “No, but Charles and I can go to the mall.” Brother replies, “Mom I didn’t even know you liked Charles.” Obviously my friend’s brother gets the point but refuses to change his grammatical ways. Here’s how easy it is: take a sentence like “Can Charles and me go to the mall?” Now take the other person out of the sentence. You now have “Can me go to the mall?” Now it’s clear that you should be using “I” instead of “me”. Do that any time you’re in doubt and you should be talking like a normal person again.
Good Luck with that. Hope to see you writing like a “normal person again”.
