Interesting post at infoQ titled who is using Flex. It recognizes that Flex is reaching critical point (or mass), as a number of large companies are now using Flex to implement new features. Some big players are mentioned there.
First, of cause it’s SAP. As we can still remember that SAP is indeed early (very) adapter of Flex. In a recent article from itworld.com, James Governor gave more details on how SAP is pursuing better UI, with Flex as its option. The SAP application Spend Analytics is a very impressive full-blown Flex implementation.
HP is very into Flex too. Some even commented that HP might be a candidate buying Adobe, after my post Who will Buy Adobe. HP has a Flex based Print Studio system recently launched.
Then, we have to mention Google these days. Google has joined the Flex developer community with a Flex version of their Searchmash application. Adobe’s Mike Potter makes a few observations on their Flex implementation.
Besides, Adobe is busying in forming alliance with some software companies. Business Objects SA, for example, it’s a business intelligence software provider. That means they are also big in data visualization, and Flex of cause is a nice and fit choice.

It would be too harsh for Adobe to get bought. Macromedia just got out of a change. Management will have a though time to adapt. may even risk loosing the Adobe ‘elan’ it has already.
