Update: Verizon Sucks! Big Time

Right before Thanksgiving I had this ordeal getting FiOS from Verizon(Verizon Sucks! Big Time post.) The post ended with the music playing from Verizon. Here is the update.

More than a hour later, someone from Technical Support picked it up. He forwarded me to another lady representative who was very helpful. My order disappeared from their system somehow. She helped put in another order, by spending another hour. During the new order creation, I found there are more problems with the previous order. In the mean while, I asked to speak to the supervisor for complaining. They kept my cell phone number and said it’s required that the supervisor would call me back within a hour.

Hare are the summary of Verizon’s problems:

  • Promoting news letter specified a special URL to go online to order it. But once went online with this URL, there was no such deal.
  • Called one representative and she tried very hard to tell me that I can’t have the deal.
  • Called another representative and he put the order in.
  • Computer generated the confirmation email. But the there are significant differences between the email and what I ordered, Even though the order was validated by a third party person live. There must be a loophole.
  • My order disappeared from their system, even though it’s obvious their computer generated the confirmation email.
  • The representative was rude when I tried to fix the order.
  • Have to put in another order, after been put on music for a hour.
  • Based on the confirmation message from the 2nd order, it’s from different computer system, comparing to the first lost order.
  • What a mess!

Anyway, the supervisor did called back within a hour. But he was not the rude representative’s supervisor so that have to make another transfer. Eventually got to the right supervisor. Complained and she said would get to the bottom of it, but tried to down-playing it couple time implied that the bad rep was just put me on hold to transfer me somewhere else, which was totally not true.

Sorry bothering you with the mishap. I start seeing the entertainment value here, thus share with you.

    I only have phone service from VERIZON right now but The sad thing is in my case is that I was told by a Manager in the College Station, TX Verizon Store that He was NOT in Customer Service and that he gets off work at 6pm, (it was 5:55 pm) and he was not going to “deal” with any other customers today, that I would have to take some time off from work so I could get some assistance with my problem because Verizon Closes at 6pm. . I work 45 min from home M-F 9 to 530 and have a 30 min lunch break. The reason he told me I would take have to take off work was because I told him this and that it ALWAYS takes at least 30 min to speak to someone on the phone. Well I took some time off the next morning to handle the issue, (He could have told me that they were open on Saturday, but I guess that would make him in Customer Service.) I was on hold from 8:03 am till 9:00 am and got disconnected, i then called back at 9:01 and finally got to speak to a live person who told me the reason I hadnt been receiving my bills was because I had signed up for Paperless billing and would need to log into my account to turn it off, hummm let see I had called 5 times in the past to ask for my bill to be sent to me and every time the rep told me I should start receiving them. but no one ever told me about needing to go online, which I could have done in the past but at the time I called my computer was not working. when I told them this they said well I can get you over to the department who can assist you with that if I didnt mind holding, I said I would as long as I wasnt on hold for long because I had to get to work. I was assured it would only be a min or two since that department didnt get as many calls as theirs. I hung up after being on hold for 20 min and still have to call again to get it corrected because now I am locked out of my account online. If there was another phone company where I live I would drop them. because they SSUUCCKK bigtime.

    Remember, Verizon will never save you more than anyone else. Reemember when they were known as New York Telephone and the horrible service you received. Well, Ivan Seidenberg has head up that company when it was known as NYT and still does so to this day. Don’t be fooled. They may have improved on their service since the PSC lit fire under the asses but its still the same group of idiots still running that company, which is why I WILL never switch to Verizon again!!! They are expensive, when it comes to wireless, you cant take your cell phone all over the world like TMO and ATT and they call themselves the best. They are the best when it comes to charging you more money for a less superior service. Its a shame that there r so many fools in this wolrd that actually connect with them or would consider their services. They really are horrendous and if you have their service and dont realize it, you really are a fool …hands down!!! WE HAVE 30 PLUS MILLION FOOLS ON THIS PLANET AND THEY ARE ALL CONNECTED WITH VERIZON…SHAME ON YOU FOOLS!! look at the big picture to see what im talking about

    MY NAME IS MELISSA. I WAS A CUSTOMER OF VERIZON FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. WELL LET ME TELL YOU WHAT HAPPEN…QUICK AND SIMPLE.

    FIRST: TRANSFERRED PHONE SERVICES TO NEW LOCATION (GOOD FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS- NO PROBLEMS)

    SECOND: VERIZON SALES REP CAME TO MY DOOR ABOUT THE “BUNDLING PACKAGE”, WELL LIKE WHAT I HEARD…

    THIRD: I “SIGNED THE AGREEMENT FORM FOR THE “3 BUNDLING SERVICES” BECAUSE IT DECREASES YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS.

    NEXT: VERIZON DOORS TO THEIR HELL OPEN.

    1. I NEVER RECEIVED THE BUNDLING PACKAGE…AGREEMENT. BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER BUNDLE!!!!!!
    2.VERIZON DISCONNECTED MY PHONE SERVICE BUT CHARGED MY MONTHLY SERVICE FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS
    3. SINCE I NEVER USED THE PHONE I DID NOT KNOW…HOWEVER MY DAUGHTER USES THE PHONE DURING SCHOOL TIME, BROUGHT IT TO MY ATTENTION.
    4. I CALLED VERIZON….DUMMIES ALL THE WAY, THEY APOLOGIZES….AND REFUND ME FOR THE 4 MONTHS, RE-CONNECTED MY SERVICE….DONE DEAL RIGHT….NOT!!!!
    6. I START REVIEWING MY CHARGES…THOROUGHLY…..CHARGES FOR SERVICES NEVER USE OR ASKED FOR……APOLOGIZED AGAIN!!!!!! ANOTHER CREDIT.
    7. CALL AGAIN…NO BUNDLING SERVICE…SPOKE W/SUPERVISOR….DONE DEAL…NOT!!!
    8. CALL AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN. FINALLY MY SISTER WHO I RECOMMENDED TO VERIZON CALLS ME UPSET, STATING SHE WASN’T GETTING THE BUNDLING SERVICE, SHE STATED THEY TOLD HER SHE HASN’T SIGNED AN AGREEMENT…SHE STATED SHE NEVER RECEIVED AN AGREEMENT…SHE WAS TOLD IT WAS ONLINE….WELL FUCK….HOW IN THE HELL WILL WE KNOW THAT? DUMB ASS VERIZON.
    9. BECAUSE VERIZON STATES YOU HAVE TO SIGN THE “AGREEMENT” ONLINE….BUT THEIR DUMB ASSES DOESN’T TELL THEIR CUSTOMERS THAT AT ALL, YOU SUPPOSE TO “GUESS”. YOU THINK AFTER CALLING MILLIONS OF TIMES ABOUT NOT RECEIVING THE BUNDLING PACKAGE, THEIR DUMB ASS WOULD KNOW, RIGHT….NOT!!!! I ASKED TO GET CREDIT FOR THE MONTHS THAT I DID NOT GET THE BUNDLING SERVICE…SINCE THE SUPERVISOR STATED I NOW HAVE IT….SHE STATED SHE COULD NOT GO BACK AND GIVE ME CREDIT….BUT SHE WILL CLOSE ALL THESE ACCOUNTS SOME DUMB ASS CREATED….
    10. CON’T TO CHARGE ME FOR SERVICES THAT WASN’T MINE AND NOT GETTING THE BUNDLING PACKAGE, AND PAYING A SEPARATE PHONE ACCOUNT…I CALLED TO DISCONNECT MY PHONE SERVICE…..DONE DEAL RIGHT…NOT!!!!!
    11. DISCONNECT THE PHONE SERVICE ONLY, PAID THE BALANCE ON THE PHONE, THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IT RIGHT? NOT!!!!
    12. SOME HOW SOME DUMB ASSES AT VERIZON MADE OVER 5-6 ACCOUNTS IN MY NAME AND I’VE BEEN PAYING ON BILLS FOR OVER A YEAR FOR SERVICES NOT RENDERED.
    13. AFTER 4 MONTHS OF HAVING MY PHONE SERVICE DISCONNECTED, I RECEIVE A BILL WITH A “NEW” ACCOUNT NUMBER AND A DUE AMOUNT OF $393.28 (WILL CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD IN TWO WEEKS)…DUMB ASSES DOESN’T TELL YOU WHAT THE BILL IS FOR, IT JUST STATES “ADJUSTMENTS”
    14. SO I CALL, DUMB ASS CUSTOMER SERVICE(S), WHICH STATED THEY OWE ME…DON ‘T WORRY ABOUT IT….NOT!!!!! THESE ASS CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD ON AN ACCOUNT THAT HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR 4 MONTHS. THIS ACCOUNT WAS USED WHEN I WAS MARRIED…NOW DIVORCE AND WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CLOSING.
    15. I CALLED DUMB ASS AGAIN AND ASKED WHAT THIS BILL IS FOR….SPOKE WITH OVER 15 PEOPLE…SOME JUST STATED THEY DID NOT KNOW AND TRANSFERRED ME TO OTHER ASSHOLES THAT DIDN’T KNOW EITHER. FINALLY……
    16. I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS REFUNDED TWICE…BUT THEY CANNOT FIND THE CHECK OR DEPOSIT…BUT GUESS WHAT? THEY ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO RUN MY CREDIT CARD UNTIL THEY FIND IT..AND THEN…..THE KILLER PART….VERIZON SENT ME AN UP TO DATE BILL CHARGING ME FOR “INSUFFICIENT FUND”. YOU DUMB ASS MOTHER@#$$#$%%%, YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE RAN MY CREDIT CARD IN THE FIRST PLACE, SINCE THE DAMN ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED 4 MONTHS PRIOR….BUT GUESS WHAT?
    17. I CALLED VERIZON, THEY TOLD ME THIS ACCOUNT WAS NEVER CLOSED, BULLSHIT….SOME DUMB ASS REP- CREATED ANOTHER ACCOUNT AFTER SHE “THINKS” I WAS CREDIT TWICE. VERIZON STATES THEY GOING TO KEEP CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD.I ASKED THEM TO REMOVE MY CARD AND THEY STATED “NO” BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE PHONE SERVICES WITH US”. TRANSFERRED AGAIN….THIS PERSON WAS FRIENDLY AND RUDE…TRIED TO BLAME ME FOR THEIR MISTAKE…..I TOLD THIS DUMB ASS…..WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPEN WAS I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A LETTER…ATTACHED TO THIS BILL EXPLAINING WHAT THIS BILL WAS FOR, TO GIVE ME A CHANCE TO PAY IT SINCE IT WAS THEIR FAULT,NOT MINE. HOWEVER, I DON’T KNOW NOTHING ABOUT GETTING AN EXTRA REFUND. INSTEAD, I’M GOING TO BE CHARGE FOR SERVICES VERIZON CANNOT FIND TO BE TRUE………………………NOW I OWE THE BANK $185 DOLLARS IN INSUFFICIENT FUNDS ON ACCOUNT THAT MY EX-HUSBAND AND I STOP USING WHEN WE DIVORCE…..

    LAST BUT NOT LEAST….VERIZON STILL CANNOT LOCATE THE “CHARGE THEY STATES I OWE THEM. TO REMOVE MY CREDIT CARD, VERIZON WILL DISCONTINUE MY CABLE AND INTERNET SERVICES….WELL CUT MY SERVICES OFF!!!!!!!!DUMB ASS.

    DON’T DO SERVICES WITH VERIZON….. CHECK YOUR BILLS MONTHLY IF YOU DO…..MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR THE “BUNDLING AGREEMENT” BECAUSE CUSTOMER DUMB ASS SERVICE DOESN’T TELL YOU…..

    I have Verizon as well and we have had it for about 2-3 years now. The internet is so unstable, it never stays on for a full day. We have called about the problem numerous times and they keep telling us they are working on it(for 3 years?!?!). Finally they sent someone out to try and fix the problem, they said it was in the phone box and it stopped doing it for about a month or so and now its back again and they still are giving us the runaround. We purchased the DirectTV package from Verizon as well, about 2-3 months into the service one of the boxes mysteriously stops working and we call in for help. They said the card was probably bad but to fix it they would require us to put the monthly fee to fix things onto our bill. Of course we didn’t want that service but they said that it was that or we had to cancel our service so we said we wanted to do that and she turns around and says we have a year contract with them and it would cost over $200 just to turn it off. So they gave us the option of paying them money, or well paying them more money. Well we took the monthly fee and someone came out and put in a new card and well now every month or so the box goes out again and we have to get a new card(something is defineatly wrong with it but they wont replace the darn thing). Well so it snowed one day and we had no service for 3 days straight it was searching for satalite signal so we called in to find out if maybe the snow knocked out a line or something and they tell us its because the dish is covered in snow and to try and knock the snow off with a broom or something…. this is a 2 1/2 story high house and its on the roof they are freaking nuts. So I asked is there anything else that can be done? They reply that we could buy a heater for the dish(spend more money) so we decided that once our contract is up we are switching to Atlantic Broadband, sure a bit more expensive but I would rather pay someone that is reliable. I mean I have a choice of paying someone that only wants my money for something that isn’t worth it, or paying someone that just wants my money but at least provides something decent. Verizon is the WORST company I have ever ever had to deal with DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    oh and also another comment (same person from the above post) I got a cell phone from Verizon once with a plan of unlimited calling and text messages for $250/month I never recieved my first bill in the mail which I thought maybe because the first bill sometimes doesnt come until the 2nd month. I finally got my 2nd bill and it was over $800! Also I moved from my old house to my boyfriends paps place and guess what….. they kept my phone service on until March and I moved in October. I tried to talk to them about why I am being charged until March for a place I moved out of months before and they got rude with me wouldn’t explain any information and hung up saying they weren’t going to argue. They will rip you off and stab you in the back as long as they get paid and your pockets are empty!
