Google Maps is almost certainly the best known online mapping system currently available, that could have something to do with the brand name. Everybody knows who Google is, even if they don’t own a computer themselves. Google recently launched a API of their popular mapping system, which means that you can easily use it as part of your flex applications. In order to use it you do need to apply for a Google developers key, but it’s well worth it! You then download the Google Maps SDK, and then you can get to work using it. There is even a free Google Maps Flex Tutorial which you can use as a starting point.
