Today is the day we have all been waiting for; Firefox 3 is finally here! There is only one little problem and fortunately it is easily fixed. The forthcoming Firefox 3 release will break some Silverlight 1.0 installation experience on web sites that used the original Silverlight 1.0 SDK Silverlight.js file.
Fortunately Microsoft has anticipated this problem with Silverlight and the Silverlight 2 Software Development Kit has an updated Silverlight.js file that not only solves this problem for all versions of Silverlight but also eliminates browser restart that was previously needed for new installs.
So to make sure that your Silverlight applications continue to work for your more enlightened web surfers, download the Silverlight Beta 2 from Microsoft here.
