

A bad start of the week. Just while I was happy that Yahoo! hasn’t been much in the news for troublesome matters in the recent past, I read about cost-cutting moves and layoffs (upto 3K jobs).
After last Friday’s JFXRacing, a very elementary JavaFX game, I surfed around a bit to see what JavaFX is capable of today. Again, something that is elementary enough for a layperson like me to understand. JavaFXpert James Weaver give just that, some perspective in JavaFX. (Note: The presentation, at least for now, can’t be launched.)
A couple of weeks ago, Aral had discovered that Yahoo! Pipes breaks for Flash when the pipe URLs are customized. Last week, he was updated by the Pipes folks with a how-to fixing the issue. (via)
