Kids Will Love Shidonni
Shidonni is a very innovative startup based in Israel that uses Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 and unique proprietary patented algorithms. Shidonni makes Silverlight proud and it could be a good marketing technique for Silverlight to promote it if they aren’t already doing it. What Shidonni? Watch the below ninety seconds first.
See? Shidonni provides a virtual universe where users can create their own pets, create a world for the pets to live in, create food and feed the pets, and play games with them. There is also sharing these with friends. It is planned as a safe entry to “internet literacy” for kids with their mantra “Creative Fun for Kids” . While the website is designed for kids between 4 and 10 years old, it grows on adults quite easily too.
The Shidonni website took me nearly 10 full minutes to simply load, but it is worth the wait. I very much hope this catches on with kids and their parents. Follow Shidonni through their blog or twitter. There is also an unofficial forum that is just coming up.
If you have any weekend plans, it might be a bad idea to introduce your kids to Shidonni now. If you do, and take images of the creations, be sure to share them on Flickr with a ’shidonni’ tag for Shidonni website to show them on their gallery.

Some optimizations were added in the new Shidonni release - the loading time now is much more quicker.
And there is also some new features, such as drawing clothes to your pets, share your worlds with friends, etc’.
