hookupmaps is the Weirdest RIA Ever
I am aware that Flex RIA is accessed by techies while sitting in their workplaces. That is the only thing stopping me from reviewing hookupmaps with screenshots. hookupmaps is the weirdest RIA I’ve ever come across in terms of purpose.
Not affiliated with either Craigslist or Google Maps (of course), hookupmaps is entirely based on the two. The mashup gets posts from Personals pages in Craigslist and embeds them across the Google Maps appropriately. As of now, it has been extended only to a few cities, but extension isn’t an issue. There are also additional filters like sexual preferences, age limits, presence of photos, search terms, etc.
I’m sorry I can’t remember the person who sent me the tip about this RIA. I had a hoot trying to see what it exactly is about, especially because I wasn’t aware of such pages in Craigslist itself. I’m glad I didn’t make the embarrassing mistake of opening that site in office.
What comes next? Any predictions? Do you already know any other RIAs used for adult purposes?
