Rounding Up Pre-Christmas Week

The Linux version of Adobe AIR 1.5 is now available for download. What is more, there is also a 64-bit Linux alpha version. There appear to be a few issues with the installations, so Rob offers tips to overcome them.

A guy called Mike Welsh ported Doom to Flash. Peter Elst interviewed him on his blog and he has interesting things to say about Alchemy  pitted against ActionScript.

Jens, the Flashgamer of the Flash Magazine, is working on a project where he offset bitmaps and found some very interesting results about speed differences between browsers. Check them out and may be you can help him like many others who already have.

Adobe TV is becoming more active in reaching us. Just in time for MAX Japan 2009, Adobe TV has been introduced in Japanese. More importantly, MAX Sessions are on Adobe TV without restriction and they are pushing more regularly. (via)

At a time when everybody is getting jittery about the future of Twitter and how it is going to be monetized, at a time when Twitter is hiring a product manager and Michael Arrington is betting money that it will be acquired by Google within the next six months, the Twitter of Korea got itself acquired by the Google of Korea.

I have been enjoying Eismann’s insightful blog a lot and I like the way he thinks. In a recent post, he calls the creative minds of the world to unite.
