Follow a Train on Google Maps With IndiaRailInfo

Posted by Sravan | November 19, 2008 .

IndiaRailInfo is one of the best Geoweb apps I’ve seen thus far. No, it doesn’t show Google Maps in a new dazzling light. It is simply that it has a great utility value and as of now gives the information sought very quickly.
Wikipedia says that Indian Railways is the 5th largest network in world in […]

<head> conference closed the tag this Sunday with a </head>. There was so much to take in, it might be too early to start waiting for the next round. Mark Grossnickle of ickydime has a day by day review. And thank you for the show, Aral.

Cloud is in Business, Business with SLA and no Beta

Posted by Charles | October 24, 2008 .

Amazon has announcement today that Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is now Generally Available and includes a Service Level Agreement (SLA). I would take this as general reminder to all the web players, especially the Web 2.0 crowd, that a beta version does has a limit life span. Beta has a end. Google, are […]

Rounding Up Last Week

Posted by Sravan | October 20, 2008 .

A bad start of the week. Just while I was happy that Yahoo! hasn’t been much in the news for troublesome matters in the recent past, I read about cost-cutting moves and layoffs (upto 3K jobs).
After last Friday’s JFXRacing, a very elementary JavaFX game, I surfed around a bit to see what JavaFX is capable of today. […]

Most of us like travelling around the world, even though we may not be conscious about Mother Earth. But with the current situation of the world economy, we are forced to tighten our purse strings more than ever.

Google’s New Earth Layer for Marine Sanctuaries

Posted by Charles | October 14, 2008 .

Last week, Google tried to make people realize why the world needs saving. In the past, we’ve touched on how Google is using its Google Earth platform to help scientists, whether it be better visualizing their data or better explaining what that data mean to the general public. At the International Union for Conservation of […]

A Most Simplest Addictive Little Game GoogleDrive

Posted by Charles | September 27, 2008 .

And it’s very challenge as well.
Once you pick a location and the Google map is centered, a small car will show up. Then you start using the arrow keys to drive it to a street.
Once you are on a street it will ding you and stop if you try to drive it off street. […]
