Flash PowerPoint Presentation lifecycle management – slideaware

Posted by Charles | July 2, 2007 | Comment

SlideAware is a Adobe Flash based online presentation tool. It has the ability to create a flash version of a PowerPoint presentation, host it on SlideAware and then share a link to the presentation. Whilst far from being alone in offering this functionality, SlideAware offers additional services that make it a better candidate for business use; fine grain access control, including the ability to make presentation private and password controlled, detailed analytics on viewing of the presentation and support for key PowerPoint features including builds. SlideAware has ability to add notes to specific areas of slides, similar to comments […] Continue Reading…

It’s not over yet

I thought finically the whole iPhone thing could be quiet down after the Saturday’s open. OMG, it actually just started. There are iPhone box opening photos everywhere, and tips from how-to-turn-it-on to how-to-delete-email are flood the blogsphere again. All of sudden the iPhone owners are all becoming giggling little girls and boys and indulging themselves with all the trivial details about their shining little toys. you know what, if I don’t have my N95 I might got a iPhone as well, as a die hard gadgeter. But I bought N95 with good reasons. One is to find out how Flash […] Continue Reading…

iPhone makes this week the most boring one

Posted by Charles | June 29, 2007 | Comment

Barely anyone has an iPhone in hands but the web flood with iPhone information. I just wish this week ends quickly and you boys go play the little toy and be quite for awhile. Man! everywhere I go to read, and bang! iPhone posts. I’ve grown iPhone fatigue already. Wondering how many will grow iPhone cramping fingers and iPhone eye blurring next couple of weeks.

Freebase.com is home to a global knowledge base: a structured, searchable, writeable and editable database built by a community of contributors, and open to everyone. It could be described as a data commons. It’s quite different from Google base, which stores data in a much more relaxed fashion. Freebase wants to turn data to be knowledge, where the data is structural and related. The example given in the diagram shows how they related data with types, which make […] Continue Reading…

One number deal – Google buying GrandCentral

Posted by Charles | June 26, 2007 | Comment

In March I introduced the GrandCentral services here and recommended it again later. Well, seems Google likes it too, enough to buy this company, reported by TechCrunch. GrandCentral allows you have only one phone number while keep in touch with you cellphone, land phone or whatever other numbers you have. Google also announced to be partner with LG Electronics. Connect the dots together, it’s obviously Google will get into the mobile world with both hardware and software pushes. Very soon there will be Google phone, gPhone, to cool down the iPhone maniac wave. Plus, you only need one […] Continue Reading…
